We are looking for an Oracle PL/SQL developer to be a part of a global IT team based in NCR, India. The individual will be responsible for managing the existing Oracle data warehouse and developing new interfaces and data marts for management reporting. The role requires knowledge of translating requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models and designing and developing extract/transform/load (ETL) processes using data loader and PL/SQL. This position will require 50% development and 50% production support.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field plus minimum 2-3 years current Information Technology experience.

Required Technical Skills:

• Must have at least 2-3 years of Oracle PL/SQL programming and ETL development experience
• Must have strong knowledge of Oracle database and data warehousing concepts
• Must have strong development experience in SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle 9i/10g versions
• Must have strong experience in designing and developing ETL processes without the help of ETL tools like Informatica/Data Stage, to transfer/transform data between heterogeneous databases.

Desired Profile
2 + years of experience ( Minimum 18 months of DBA experience on any Unix flavour or Linux)

• Good in Oracle RDBMS architecture concepts
• Usage of data dictionary views

• Undo Managaement,
• Managing Redo log and Archive log files
• User management
• Backup and recovery methods.
• Backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Logical backup and recovery using export/import
• Oracle network configuration ( listener and tnsnames)

• Basic SQL and PL/SQL knowledge
• Working knowledge of Unix
